my basic Cyber Monday Strategy
Every year the tennis + fitness club runs a $0 initiation membership special. For tennis memberships, that's a $500-$750 savings! For fitness it's a $125 savings. We always have limited spots to offer because tennis courts are limited and we have to cap our memberships. In the past, we've had successful $0 initiation campaigns, but they've been messy and all over the place so I wanted to tidy it up a bit and see if we could boost fitness memberships as well.
The basic strategy consisted of 3 parts:
1. A Video - We ran a promo video (we called "zero" for our zero initiation) to warm and cold audiences.
2. A VIP Email list - Gave the option of additional bonuses + early access to the sale.
3. Attention-getting ads - We retargeted our audiences with a Cyber Monday ad image. (I used this image literally everywhere...in emails, in newsletters, on Facebook, etc.)
